SMART checks can be performed on hard drives connected to 3ware RAID controllers. The RAID device will be identified as /dev/twa0-15 or /dev/twe0-15 depending on the controller you are using. Each controller will be having ports on to which the hard drives will be connected. For eg: p0 , p1 , p2...
