Excellent tutorial. Thank you very much. I tried it on OpenSuse 11.1 and got my reliance broadband AC8710 working

The only change i did was adding single quotes for vendor and product in modprobe command. As follows

modprobe usbserial vendor=’0×19d2′ product=’0xfff1′
